These are 44-tooth rings. The stock rings have 48 teeth. If your speedometer is reading about 9% too high, these rings are for you.
How to test your bike’s speedometer and do the math the easy way:
- Install a digital GPS speedometer app on your phone and go for a ride.
- Ride at the speed of exactly 48 (mph or km/h), as indicated by the bike’s speedometer.
- Read the speed from the GPS speedometer app.
- Round that speed up. This is the number of speedo ring teeth that you need to order.
Made of magnetic stainless steel, polished for best appearance to a mirror finish (it is hard to photograph a mirror, pictures do not do them justice!), they are also a perfect aesthetic upgrade to the stock black painted rings.
The ABS/MSC and traction control will still work, and no fault codes will be set.
